On May 20-21, 2010 the Microfinance USA conference was held in San Francisco, CA. The conference, attended by 400 people, featured over 80 speakers from the microfinance industry.Among the featured speakers was Grameen America’s own Vice President, Leslie Kane who participated in the panel entitled “A Living History: U.S. Microfinance Past, Present and Future.” Leslie touches on two very important topics during her discussion: the challenge of starting Grameen America during the credit crisis and using Microfinance as a tool for building communities.
